1. Marquee Hotel Signature Brunch

Aside from luxurious rooms and beautiful rooftop scenes, Marquee Hotel also boasts authentic gastronomy with Abbiocco, its world-class on-site restaurant. Moreover, this exquisite hotel also features a signature brunch experience every week on Saturdays.

Brunch takes place on Saturdays from 11 am to 3 pm, and you can make reservations by calling or messaging the Abbiocco’s Restaurante WhatsApp.

Address: Cra. 38 #9A-13, El Poblado, Medellín, El Poblado, Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia

2. Pergamino Cafe

Outside the luxurious scene, Pergamino Cafe deserves a spot on this list. It’s one of the most popular cafes in Medellin, with the cafe living up to its hype.

Let’s talk about the variety of breakfast or brunch menus you can enjoy. Indulge in grilled cheese sandwiches, flavorful shakshouka, or the best-selling fully-loaded avocado toasts. You can also stick to the classic chicken clubhouse sandwiches when you prefer everything old and gold.

Brunch isn’t complete without your favorite mimosa or cup of joe. And Pergamino Cafe has one of the best coffees in the city. Order Pergamino’s famous iced vanilla latte and it won’t disappoint! But if you don’t like coffee, Pergamino also has its fruity and herbal tea selections, as well as refreshing smoothies and juices.

Because of the popularity of the first branch, Pergamino recently opened a second branch on Calle 10B. It’s ideal for digital nomads looking for a coffee shop to eat and work. The second branch also has a free WiFi connection that’s pretty stable, around 15 MBps. And the sockets are a major plus!

3. Café Resto Cambria

Right in the heart of Manila is Cafe Resto Cambria, a brunch place that offers a unique fusion of French and American flavors. This chic cafe has the coziest ambiance, and the owner dims the lights for a more intimate setting during brunch.

We recommend getting their cappuccino, sweet cakes, and pasta if you visit this place. You can also never go wrong with their classic Eggs Benedict and French Toast. What we love even more about Cafe Resto Cambria are the large portions, so prepare yourselves to feel stuffy after!

Beyond the exquisite food options are the friendly and approachable staff. Service is also pretty quick, so you don’t need to worry about the waiting time when visiting this place.

Address: Cra. 43E #12-16, El Poblado, Medellín, El Poblado, Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia

4. Revolucion Cafe

Sometimes, eating at a simple restaurant gives you the best brunch experience. And places like Revolucion Cafe can provide you with exactly just that.

The cafe’s breakfast menu includes bagels with egg, omelet, serrano ham, big breakfast, cream cheese, and more. The omelets may be simple, but they are one of the best in town! They are creamy and flavorful even when we all know they are only made from simple eggs.

Bagels at Revolucion Cafe are also delicious! They are best served with cream cheese and egg. Plus, this place always serves bagels with huge avocado slices.

Revolucion Cafe is not the most esthetically-pleasing cafe in Medellin, but it’s pretty decent and simple. Find a spot on the terrace if you want to feel more peaceful. There’s a small plant barrier to separate you from the business on the streets.

Revolucion Cafe also offers tasty cups of coffee. And they are pretty affordable too!

5. Botánika Cocina Fresca

Probably the most nature-inspired brunch spot in this guide is Botanika Cocina Fresca. Get any table, and you’ll definitely feel like you are being transported into a jungle. Another exceptional thing about this restaurant is that all meals come with edible flowers – totally Instagrammable!

We recommend melted cheese fondu if you want the best dish to order. The serving is huge, so it’s perfect when you’re with friends. Brunch normally happens on a Sunday, so be sure to head there at the earliest time possible to get a table.

Address: Cl. 9A #37-3, El Poblado, Medellín, El Poblado, Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia

6. Al Alma Cafe

Al Alma Cafe is another famous brunch spot in the city. One of the primary reasons is its extensive menu, packed with all kinds of dishes you can imagine – eggs benedict, omelets, bagels, salads, sandwiches, and pizzas. We loved the cafe’s Caesar salad because of its delicious dressing!

Al Alma Cafe also roasts its own beans. Their iced lattes are one of the best, but you can also get their smoothies, herbal teas, and smoothies. This cafe has two branches in Laureles and Provenza. If you want a cozier and more intimate brunch spot, visit their Laureles location.

Al Alma Cafe gets fully booked pretty quickly. But if you want the best brunch spots, head to Al Alma by 10 am because it starts to get crowded by 11 am.

Address: Cra. 45 #5-30, El Poblado, Medellín, El Poblado, Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia

7. SMASH Avocaderia

SMASH Avocaderia is the best brunch spot when you’re looking for a healthy kick in the morning. It features healthy and sustainable dishes at affordable prices. All kinds of food are made from fresh local ingredients in the city.

The all-time favorite avocado toast from this place is only less than 15,000 Colombian pesos. SMASH Avocaderia also offers various cheap acai bowls served in huge servings, perfect for sharing.

This brunch place is at the Circular’s corner in Laureles, so it features beautiful spots to dine and hang with friends. We loved their outdoor seating area, but it can get pretty hot during the afternoon.

Address: Carrera 69, Cq. 1 #8, Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia

8. Delmuri Cafe

Delmuri Cafe is a crowd’s favorite brunch spot because of its fluffy pancakes, mouth-watering burgers, and big omelets. It might be a small cafe, but ex-pats and locals love visiting this place any day of the week.

Delmuri Cafe features a wide selection of drinks, from teas to juices, coffee, and sodas. It also offers a wide selection of cakes and pastries you can have. The best cake flavors are carrot, red velvet, and chocolate.

Delmuri Cafe serves average coffee. If you want a unique drink, get their passionfruit soda. This brunch spot also has a fast and reliable internet connection, so digital nomads are welcome to spend their entire afternoon working here.

Address: Cl. 39c # 73 – 29, Laureles – Estadio, Medellín, Laureles, Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia

9. Hija Mia Coffee Roasters

Hija Mia has hands down the best coffee in Medellin. You will enjoy each process of creating a cup of joe – from roasting the beans to the barista handcrafting each beverage. Pair your favorite cup of joe with huge dishes in this coffee shop, such as smashed avo, acai bowl, bagels with serrano ham, buttermilk pancakes, and corn fritters.

We also loved the staff’s friendliness. You can easily ask them about their recommendations and bestsellers, and they will gladly accommodate your inquiries.

Address: Cl 11A #43b -9, El Poblado, Medellín, El Poblado, Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia

10. Betty’s Bowls

Betty’s Bowls has the most esthetically-pleasing interiors in this guide. You can definitely feel like you’re eating in Bali when visiting this popular brunch spot! Everything is Instagrammable, including the exceptional presentation of fruits on their platters and other dishes!

Betty’s Bowls also offers various toasts, including cheese, avocado, banana, egg, and apple. We suggest trying Lulado, the restaurant’s popular local Colombian drink made from their natural fruit ingredients.

Address: Cra. 32d #7a # 7a-77 Local 01, El Poblado, Medellín, El Poblado, Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia

11. Ganso and Castor

Ganso and Castor is perfect for foodies. It offers various tasty dishes at affordable prices and are made with premium quality ingredients. When visiting this famous brunch spot, you will love a mixture of tourists, locals, and ex-pats.

By 11 am, expect Ganso and Castor to be already packed, so we recommend heading there earlier or booking a table in advance.

Ganso and Castor features an extensive menu of Western brunch dishes, including cream cheese bagels, Florentine, salmon, granola with Greek yogurt, and fluffy pancakes. You can even request a baked egg option when you’re on a low-carb diet.

Our favorite are the eggs benedict, served with the best runny eggs in town. You will also love its rich, creamy, and tangy hollandaise sauce on top. And you can also request extra when you need more.

You will also love the French-themed ambiance of the place. The walls are white-washed, and oak chairs and tables make the entire scene look cozier and more rustic. Folding doors extend the restaurant to an alfresco dining terrace, giving you a more relaxed brunch experience.

Address: Carrera 43E # 11a-30 in Barrio Manila

12. Park 37

If you prefer an all-alfresco setting for your brunch date with friends, check out Park 37. It’s a bar and a restaurant and one of the most famous and tranquil places in El Poblado. But you must be aware that you may hear construction sites happening when you sit outside.

Park 37 offers an extensive brunch selection, including healthy options like granola bowls, matcha, acai, soy milk, healthy nuts, and more. You can even choose from six different types of egg styles.

If you want to experience local Colombian food, choose Enjoy Colombia option. This includes guacamole and a fried egg on a sweet plantain croquette. And if you have a sweet tooth, try Park 37’s French toast options. Choose from French toast topped with maple syrup and strawberries, or go for a savory option with cheese and bacon.

If you prefer eating light during brunch, Park 37 also has a wide selection of banana bread and butter croissants.

Address: Carrera 37 # 8A-4, Poblado, Medellín

13. Azul Selva

Azul Selva

The brilliant brunch at the “Blue Jungle” pulls in a health-conscious crowd.

This restaurant is all about manifesting a mountain of superfood, self-love, and a stellar start to their Sunday.

This spot occupies a privileged position on the ground floor of the Hotel Boutique Celestino, in fashionable Via Primavera.

In other words, this popular mid-morning hangout specializes in tantalizing organic treats for brunch-a-holics.

Highlights include a tricolor stack of almond butter, cocoa, banana, and pumpkin pancakes, gourmet cassava arepas stuffed with mozzarella, or some vegan avocado toasts with homemade hummus. Also, the mezclum and kale chips will get your weekend well on track.

Better yet, the restaurant’s open for breakfast throughout the week in case you can’t wait for Sunday to repeat.

In terms of what to order, it’s all good, but the stack of pancakes probably just edge it.

Address: Carrera 37 No. 8A-60 El Poblado, Medellín, Colombia

14. La Maga

La Maga

You need to climb high up into the hills on the old road to the airport to find this magical pastry place.

This is where cake connoisseurs meet hardcore cyclists rewarding themselves for making the Sunday morning pilgrimage up the mountain.

The gourmet bread makers and puff pastry magicians marshalled by Argentine pastry practitioner, Elvira Restrepo, aren’t shy about sharing their tricks with the well-to-do clientele.

Working from an open-plan kitchen that makes La Maga, the best-smelling venue in the La Reserva shopping center, Restrepo’s talented team weaves wonders with sourdough serving up a difficult dilemma for customers – healthy treats or more sinful Sunday indulgences?

We’re big fans of the knotted loaf with chocolate and Nutella or the BLT that’s built to satisfy bike enthusiasts. It’s a perfect staging post on the way to explore the mountains around Medellin.

In terms of what to order, we’d have to recommend the vegan avocado toasts with hummus or the eggs benedict.

Address: Alto de Las Palmas, Km. 17 vía Las Palmas, Mall La Reserva, Envigado, Colombia

15. Repeat

The Repeat team does dazzling, al fresco, all-day drinking and dining with an enticing terrace.

And, there are DJs taking you on a vinyl voyage that weaves effortlessly from salsa classics by La Fania to 80s gothic giants, the Cure.

Sounds good? It tastes good too.

The city’s best boogaloo brunch pulls a hip crowd with a signature cocktail or mocktail or cappuccino.

Moreover, they offer tropical fruit salad, eggs your way served on an avocado salad, and a basket of assorted bread included.

Still, we’d say to go large with bottomless Mimosas plus a side of comforting arepas stuffed with chicken, refried beans, and smoky bacon.

If you’re abstaining after a heavy night, there are life-saving natural sodas and smoothies with tangy tamarind or other tropical fruits.

They’re the perfect way to tease you back into the world of the living.

Our top recommendation includes eggs over easy or Eggs Benedict. Either one is divine!

Address: Carrera 36, #8a-05 Provenza, Medellín, Colombia

16. Belisario

This Provenza landmark is built for proponents of the party-hard brunch philosophy. The bar’s boozy brunch squared (x2) provides hard drinkers with the option of an early kick off on Saturday and/or Sunday.

What’s more, this Belis brunch epic all-dayer starts with Mimosas and Costeñitas beers from 09.09. Then, it slides dangerously into cocktails after midday and disaster on Belisario’s dance floor after night falls.

However, vegans be warned: almost everything they serve comes with pork provisions pretty much as standard.

These days you’re as likely to find Belisario’s followers huddled around the firepit in their new open-air venue, Alberta Tastehouse in Rionegro.

Addresss: Carrera 35 #7-114, Provenza, El Poblado, Medellín, Colombia

17. Apilados de Autor

Apilados de Autor sandwich joint

This innocuous sandwich joint, tucked away on one of Medellin’s culinary deadends, has a peanut-jelly sandwich and other morning treats to die for.

This place is a serious sourdough bakery during the week. Still, the pandemic has converted this place into the undisputed heavyweight of Medellin’s sandwich circuit.

In other words, they’re experts at putting together picnic boxes that will save the day if you’re heading out of town. Or, these work if you simply want to social distance yourself from the kitchen.

For brunchers born in the USA, the P&J sandwich with bananas and pumpkin seeds is 100% nailed on. Alternatively, go with a bowl of fruit with kefir and a turmeric and ginger kick to level out again.

The poached eggs with pesto on sourdough or the New York bagels with serrano ham will set you up for the fight over the french toasts with tiramisu.

Eating in? Order the peasant’s campesino breakfast.

For takeout, try the breakfast box with french toast bites, honey, parfait, a selection of fruit and a chicken with pesto sandwich.

Address: Carrera 40 #10A-37, El Poblado, Medellín, Colombia

18. Crepes & Waffles

Crepes & Waffles in medellin

Sitting up there with Colombia’s gold, emeralds, and coffee reserves, this affordable restaurant chain is as close as it comes to a national treasure.

In other words, this place is Henry Ford of the Colombian foodie scene.

This popular brand introduced tasty salads, crepes, and ice cream to Colombia’s middle class while employing an army of single mothers.

Additionally, it democratized brunch with what is pound-for-pound probably the most reasonably priced mid-morning meal you’ll find anywhere on your travels.

For as little as $15 you’ll get juice, coffee, a tropical fruit buffet, and eggs how you like them. On top of that, the Australian (poached with ham and avocado) and Mexican (Australian plus picante) variants are our favorites.

Sweet-toothed diners will love the tasty, tropical ice cream flavors or a couple of waffles with a scoop of vanilla and fruits of the forest coulis.

The chain has outlets throughout the city, including venues in Poblado and Laureles. Additionally, art lovers might want to try the version in the Museum of Modern Art in Ciudad del Rio.

If you can’t pick what to order, we’d recommend the Australian eggs with the pot of coffee, alegria juice, and fruits of the forest waffle.

Museo de Arte Moderno Location: Cra. 44 #19a-100

El Poblado Location: Carrera. 36 #10-54, Medellín, Colombia

19. La Bagatelle

La Bagatelle restaurant

Striking a pose as a traditional purveyor of French pastries, Bagatelle, offers breakfast all day.

They’re located on the ground floor of the Diez Hotel in El Poblado. Power up pastries and pancakes, popular with locals and gringos alike.
