TLDR? Al Alma Brunch and Coffee is one of the best spots for a business meeting with your co-workers.
In the last few years, the concept of work and employment has shifted. Nowadays, people decide to work without hours or offices. They’re often investors, independent contractors with their own businesses, or digital nomads.
Although there are many coworking spaces, that’s not the same as a business meeting. For a business meeting, you need somewhere that both of you can feel comfortable connecting and talking shop.
If you’re one of these people who can work from anywhere in the world (and you’re in Medellin) you might want to know where to host a business meeting. Here are a couple of great places to go.
Personally, I find that business meetings work well in the morning. Mornings tend to be a bit less busy than the afternoon when you’re rushing to get things finished up.
Now, while you can just grab a quick coffee, I actually like Al Alma. You and your business partner can chat over a tasty brunch before getting into the meat and potatoes of the meeting.
Al Alma actually has 13 locations around Medellin so you can choose the closest one. You can find them in El Poblado, Envigado, Laureles, Llanogrande and even in Santa Fe de Antioquia!
Some Al Alma locations actually have private meeting rooms where you can host a group of business prospects.
Because it’s got a couple of different options for you to choose from, I’d say this is a pretty solid place for a business meeting.

Even though Semilla Cafe is mostly known as a coworking venue, it’s actually got some private meeting rooms too. Located in Primer Parque de Laureles, this site is for coffee lovers.
Semilla offers pay-per-day plans, so you can actually knock out a couple of meetings in one day without having to keep ordering coffee.
Just pay for a full day at the venue and post up!
There’s a fully equipped meeting room available, too. That’s great if you’re just wanting to rent a room where you can host a meeting or show off a presentation.
Apart from the meeting spaces, you can also enjoy breakfast, fruit, healthy lunches, and vegan and vegetarian snacks.
That’ll keep you going in between meetings!

If you’re wanting a relaxed environment for a business meeting, Naturalia Cafe is a good pick. The place has vintage decor and a homey atmosphere.
This spot is also a cultural space in Medellin that invites music artists, talks, stories, comedy, and even cultural language exchanges.
As a result, they’re pretty used to regular meetings and events going on. You can always talk to the owner about renting out the entire space if you plan to host multiple people at your meeting.
The café has high-speed Wi-Fi offer, ideal for planning and managing a good meeting. And of course, the coffee is great, which always helps.

Distrito Cafetero has an industrial look to it, but don’t let that put you off. It’s definitely got a hip vibe which is sure to impress your prospective clients.
This place has two locations: one in the central area of Medellin and another in Envigado.
Regardless of which you pick, the coffee is the same and the spaces are both good for a quick and casual business meeting.
If I had to compare Distrito to anything I’d say it’s a bit like a Starbucks.
You won’t find private meeting rooms here, but you’ll find a nice atmosphere for a quick coffee meeting.

Anyone who’s wanting to impress their business prospects with a truly Colombian vibe should definitely think about taking them to Cariñito Mio. This coffee shop has bright colors and wooden furniture that make you feel like you’re in a rural town in Antioquia.
It has large areas ideal for holding a business meeting. Plus, the coffee here is great, making it a good choice for serving up tasty drinks during your event.
All the areas are rentable, so you can book the place out if you want to host a larger meeting.
Another thing that’s great about Cariñito Mio is that it’s pretty centrally located. It’s diagonal from the Modern Art Museum, so it shouldn’t be too hard for your clients to find.

If your business meeting is going to be very formal and you need a space with adequate facilities, you can rent out a room in the Museum of Modern Art of Medellin.
The meeting room has a capacity for 12 to 15 people and is equipped with a TV, sound system, WiFi, and a water and coffee station.
If you want to have additional snacks, you can rent a catering service on your own. The café at the MAMM actually has catering services, so you can book it through the museum.
One of the benefits of this place is the strategic location in one of the best-structured museums in the city.
It’s pretty central, easy to get to on the metro, and most people are familiar with the museum and where it is.

As much as I’d like to pretend I only shop local, I don’t. Every now and then I’ll head over to a Starbucks for a business meeting.
There are a couple of reasons for this.
Firstly, Starbucks has reliable WiFi and convenient spaces. There are almost always tables available and you’ll regularly see business meetings taking place there.
Another thing I like about Starbucks is that everyone knows what it is. There’s no confusion about what the address is or how to get there—instead, it’s easy for your partner to figure out the directions.
There are also multiple Starbucks locations around the city. There’s one in Laureles, one in the Arkadia Shopping Center, one in Poblado, and a couple to the south of the city.
In essence, it’s a super convenient coffee shop that doesn’t leave a lot of opportunities for people to get lost.

If you need a formal and private space, you can go for one of the venues with fully equipped meeting rooms. Or, if your business meetings tend to be more informal, visit one of the cool and quiet cafes that we recommend.
Whichever you pick, I’m confident you’ll be able to pull out all the stops to wow your potential clients.
