Short on time? Fuerza y Figura is the best pole dancing studio in Medellin.
Pole dancing has been gaining attention in recent years.
Perhaps it’s due to the sport’s appearance in the NFL’s 2020 Super Bowl show or perhaps it’s due to social media influencers sharing their love of pole.
Whatever the reason, it’s clear that pole dancing is on the rise in countries around the world, and Medellin is no exception to the rule!
Whether you’re wanting to try a one-off class or you’ll be here for a while and want to give the sport your all, this guide is for you.
Let’s take a look at the best places to try pole dancing in Medellin.
Fuerza y Figura is one of the most well-rounded pole dance studios in the entire city. They offer classes to both kids and adults and really do leave nothing to be desired in the world of pole.
At this school you can enjoy:
The school also conducts workshops from time to time. The workshops are great because you can participate in the event without being an enrolled student in the school.
On top of that, Fuerza y Figura participates in several pole dance competitions. If you’re interested in competing or attending these events, this is a great academy to get involved in.
Fuerza y Figura can be found in Laureles, located tantalizingly close to some of our best Casacol rentals and apartments. In fact, they’re just about a 20-minute walk from our Laureles buildings!
The pricing on the classes and workshops at Fuerza y Figura really does cover a broad range. They depend on whether you’re taking online or in-person classes as well what type of classes you’re taking.
The best way to get an accurate quote for pricing is to contact them via Instagram. That way you can get a good idea of what your particular package would cost you.

Flexus Studio is hyper-focused on pole. Although they have fewer class offerings, they have the advantage of being masters in what they do focus on.
There are six main categories of classes at Flexus studio:
In terms of pole classes, you’ll find classes such exotic pole, pole tango, kids’ pole, and pole sport. There really is something for everyone when it comes to using the pole, which is something I love about this school.
For those who want to try feminine dance classes, they can try chair dance or floor dance. These don’t use the pole, so they’re great options for anyone who wants to try something they can practice at home afterward.
You can also try twerk classes. These high-energy dance classes are a major workout, so come prepared!
Finally, there are classes focused on flexibility and physical conditioning. These classes are really supplementary to pole dance, giving you the strength and flexibility to form specific figures on the pole.
Flexus studio offers events (such as their annual Christmas party) as well as both in-person and online workshops. I love the online portion because you don’t even have to leave the house to get a workout in!
Flexus Studio is much more centrally located. You’ll find it in Medellin’s Laureles neighborhood, closer to the center of the city’s action.
It’s also got a much less seedy-looking exterior than some other buildings. Even though that’s just appearances, it can still make a difference in the overall feel of the studio.
In terms of pricing, you’ll find that things can vary. You can get some great multi-class packages for around 200,000 COP. If you’re just attending a single class or workshop, however, the price will range from $20,000 to $80,000 COP.

Academia Pin Up is a pretty next-level place. I’m talking towering ceilings and theater lights that make you feel like you’re the main event.
The academy focuses mainly on twerk and pole dance, offering the following classes:
As you can imagine, pole dance, love, and art are all variations of your classic pole classes. In these classes, you’ll learn a variety of techniques, ranging from super sexy moves to more sporty poses.
Where the academy really excels, however, is with its twerk classes. Not only are these high-energy and lively classes, but they’re also extremely well-taught.
Plus, the school runs regular twerk workshops and competitions. If you’re more interested in twerk with pole as a secondary discipline, this is a great school to check out.
This dance school is located pretty much smack-dab in the middle of Laureles and Poblado. That makes it ideal no matter which of the city’s sectors you’re staying in.
At Academia Pin Up you have to buy monthly, trimester, or semester packages. However, if you just want to test the waters, you can purchase a single class to get you started.

Poledanzarte is a studio that focuses on combining pole dance and yoga. The classes you can take include:
Now, if you’re thinking that aerial yoga and aerial silks are the same, think again. Although similar, these are two different disciplines that focus on different techniques and moves.
Personally, I find aerial silks classes a lot more fun than aerial yoga, but the best thing to do is to try a class and find out for yourself!
Poledanzarte doesn’t regularly teach exotic and feminine classes. However, they do run the occasional workshop with these types of classes if you’re interested in trying one out.
Keep in mind that Poledanzarte has a heavy focus on flexibility. If you want to make the most out of your classes, you’ll need to make sure you spend some time stretching!
Poledanzarte is relatively close to the Laureles sector of Medellin. That’s super convenient for our Casacol guests who are staying on that side of town!
As with many schools around Medellin, Poledanzarte offers regular promotions. As a result, you’re likely to find pretty varied prices depending on when you sign up.
In general, a class will cost you about $20,000 COP. However, do some shopping around and look for promos on their Instagram to get the best price.

First on our list is Lolita Dance Studio. This studio is located in Envigado, putting it farther south than some of the other studios on this list.
Still, the school has plenty of classes. In fact, they go well beyond just pole dance. Lolita offers guests and members a number of different dance classes:
What’s great is that there are a number of different dance styles.
For example, if you want to try more sensual dances, you can enroll in chair dance or exotic pole classes. On the other hand, if you’re looking for something more fitness-focused, try a flexibility or pole sport class.
Classes are available for both kids and adults, too. If you want to bring the whole family along, you can do that when you swing by Lolita!
Lolita also offers the occasional workshop. These are great ways to do a full or half-day intensive on some of your favorite dance styles.
And, if you want to rock your Lolita style, you can check out their pole dance clothes. They’ve got various styles, sizes, and colors so that you can pick pole attire you love.
Lolita Dance Studio’s classes typically go for about $20,000 COP per class. However, they’re constantly running promotions and have discounts on packages.
Before signing up, make sure to ask what specials are available. You might be surprised at the discounts you can get!

Fenix Academia is one of the more interesting academies on this list simply because of the numerous types of classes they offer.
Here you’ll be able to enjoy:
If you’re more interested in aerial classes, this school is a great choice. Not only do they have rainbow aerial silks (I mean, rainbow, come on), but they also are one of the few pole dance academies in Medellin that offers aerial hoops.
You can also check out the usual pole sport classes and exotic pole choices.
Or, focus on a uniquely Colombian style of dance: champeta. This mix of salsa and twerk is a fun way to embrace local culture and get a great workout in.
Sadly, Fenix Academia doesn’t run regular workshops. However, they do offer online classes that you can take as part of your monthly package.
Fenix Academia is another Laureles pole academy. This one is slightly farther north than some of the other studios you’ll find but is still a great place to check out.
A single class at Poledanzarte costs just $20,000 COP. However, the real value of this school is in its packages.
Poledanzarte offers a wide range of classes, most of which include both complimentary classes (flexibility) as well as pole, twerk, or aerial classes.
Address: Cra. 75 ##43-50, Medellín, Antioquia

Pole dancing in Medellin is an up-and-coming sport. It’s also a great way to get active, even if the gym isn’t usually your thing.
So, if you’re ready to step out of your comfort zone (or into it!) check out some of these pole dance studios and get a feel for Medellin’s pole dance scene.
