For example, most sidewalks are too narrow for the MATT device, and curb cuts are nonexistent. Unfortunately, this means that those who need the device the most can’t use it. A majority of stores also have steps leading up to them, making them inaccessible.

While the MATT device increases the quality of life for those with disabilities, it’s only a Band-Aid on a much larger problem.

The real solution is to make society more inclusive and accessible for everyone. This can be done by having wider sidewalks, more curb cuts, and building ramps leading up to stores. When we are more inclusive of those with disabilities, we make the world a better place for everyone.

I personally believe that this app will be a game-changer and help make Medellin more inclusive for those with disabilities.
