Shopping the Outlets in Medellin

Shopping the Outlets in Medellin

TLDR? Medellin offers many opportunities for outstanding clothes at economical and affordable prices.

When I go shopping, there’s nothing quite as exhilarating to me than finding discounts on what I like to wear or what I need at home.

So, as you can imagine, after I found out about the outlets in Medellín, I started skipping the big malls and heading there instead. High quality at a lower price – who could say no to that?

Medellin has several shopping centers, shopping malls, and street commerce where you can find all kinds of clothes and home goods. But, if you’re looking to go shopping in Medellín while taking care of your pocket, let me give you a hand.

Below, I’ll tell you which places you can go to for great discounts!

De Moda Outlet

De Moda Outlet

This shopping center is near the Olaya Herrera airport, between the El Poblado and Guayabal neighborhoods.

You’ll find fashion, footwear, accessories, home goods, and places to snack, as well as great discounts on national and international brands such as Agua Bendita, American Brands, Chamela, Diesel, Kipling, Koaj, Levis, New Balance, Touché, and Superdry.

Buy shoppinging in this outlet, you can participate in some raffles by registering your receipts. So, besides saving money on your purchases, you can earn bonuses and prizes! I have yet to win, but it’s still nice to know it’s a possibility.

De Moda sometimes hosts events such as the Sustainable Fashion Pop-Up that supports local eco-friendly brands and the virtual Fashion Open Sale. And, if you’re a gym buff, you’ll also find a Smart Fit in De Moda Outlet.

Didn’t find anything you like? If you leave this shopping center and walk for five minutes, you’ll come to a street full of commercial premises of other recognized brands that are also outlets!

Find great discounts at MNG, Velez, Leonisa, Stop Jeans, Polito, Esprit, Americano, Chevignon, and other local brands so you can take care of your economy and wear perfect outfits throughout your whole stay in Colombia!

Outlets from Industriales Zone

Outlets from Industriales Zone

To get to the outlets from Industralies, you need to head to (surprise!) the Industriales Metro station. Then, you’ll have to cross a couple of avenues and enter this small commercial area within the industrial sector of Medellin, full of outlets of national stores and imported brands.

In this area, you’ll find brands of women’s clothing, Levis jeans, women’s jeans, clothes for babies and children, bags, suitcases, backpacks, and even Nike and Adidas sneakers.

You can also leather shoes and belts for your business meetings, jeans for walking around the city, and other affordable goods. I’m sure you won’t leave this neighborhood empty-handed!

In Itagui, south of the city, you’ll find clothing factories and warehouses with incredibly low prices and offers of all kinds on casual clothing, sportswear, lingerie, and even textile supplies if you’re in this industry.

Within a few minute’s walk from this neighborhood, you’ll find Super Centro de la Moda shopping center, which has local brand stores and outlets!

Try one of the paisa jeans brands, buy pajamas, t-shirts, and shoes at factory prices, and get great discounts on recognized brands.

To get there, take the Metro system to the Ayura station and, from there, a bus that’ll take you directly to the Fashion Center.

Centro Comercial Mayorca

Centro Comercial Mayorca

Mayorca’s one of the largest shopping centers in Medellin and is known for having outlet stores (among others).

Women’s and men’s clothing, footwear, children’s clothing, household supplies, sports clothing, skin care products, are just a few products you’ll find here. And, if you want to liven up the shopping day, you can get something to eat at the food court, go to the movies, or go bowling.

Mayorca assures buyers savings of up to 80% when they buy at an outlet and even provides a guide for buyers with tips like when to shop and how to avoid spending more than you meant to. Those are some tips I could definitely use!

In Mayorca, you’ll also find shops where you can buy clothes wholesale. So, you can buy gifts for your friends at very affordable prices.

Getting to this mall is super easy! Take the Metro and get off at Itagui station, where you’ll cross a bridge to Mayorca’s entrance.
